We provide critical services for the company across every product line. From manufacturing to customer facing, our services span across the entire lifecycle of most Apple hardware. We are responsible to design, implement and support the ongoing need to improve customer safety and privacy by providing security services that are tightly coupled with hardware.\\n\\nMany of our services are seen in iOS Security Guide or publicly discussed on internet forums. As an engineer, you will participate in initiatives that are important to the success of upcoming product launches and product security initiatives. You will also work with large cross functional teams to align the expectations and validate work you're doing.\\n
We are looking for a motivated and talented experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to own the design and implementation of the quality assurance process, ensuring the delivery of high quality software products in a distributed environment. In this role, you will drive quality and quality-related development work in all team projects. You will work alongside the software development and SRE teams to acquire in-depth knowledge of how each application works in terms of business logic, security aspects, development environments, and production environments. You will design, implement and maintain automation roadmap for complex services, while also driving advancements in test strategies.
Strong software engineering background in web services and proficiency in programming language.\nProficient in Java and C; capable of writing and maintaining QE tools in C, Bash, Python, or Java\nSolid grasp of REST API fundamentals, best practices, and API testing concepts\nAbility to read and critique software architecture/designs to increase testability and maintainability\nHands on with database technologies including relational and noSQL solutions\nStrong grasp of the unique concepts required in security applications and embedded systems.\nUnderstanding of security concepts such as PKI, X.509, ASN.1, key exchange protocols, and authentication protocols\nSkilled in Unix/Linux environments\nStrong quality engineering mentality and understanding of the relevant concepts.\nExperience in designing and developing test automation frameworks for embedded systems and cryptographic components, including unit, integration, and system-level testing\nExperience in designing and developing test automation using TestNG, JMeter or equivalent\nStrong debugging, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills across hardware and software layers\nSolid understanding of QE methodologies, SDLC best practices, and CI/CD concepts to build automation for complex full stack applications\nSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator with strong written and verbal English skills\nProven ability to manage time and priorities across concurrent release cycles
Up-to-date with current and up-coming QE technologies and frameworks\nExperience contributing to or reviewing threat models and security test plans\nUnderstanding of FIPS 140-2/3 standards and cryptographic module validation testing\nExperience with performance and scalability testing\nPassion for driving quality into every aspect of a project\nAbility to work with cross functional and globally distributed teams\nFamiliar with Agile workflow management\nBS in Computer Science or equivalent\n6+ years of experience in relevant fields
