About
The Pharmacist provides pharmacy services for the dispensing pharmacy department at Cancer Clinic Pharmacy.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Dispense oral oncolytics and other agents related to oncology care
* Dispense antibiotics, antifungals, aromatase inhibitors (AIs), diuretics, steroids, antiemetics, supplements, etc.
* Provide counsel and education to patients on medications and chemotherapy safe handling if appropriate
* Assess patients and act as a resource for patients on a regular basis.
* Record and audit the dispensing of medication to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations
* Coordinate with pharmacy technicians and social workers regarding copayment assistance for patients
* Maintain patient care standards and assure that patient care functions, such as assessment, treatment, and documentation are completed safely and effectively.
* Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response within practice protocol
* Maintain open and effective communication with all physicians, employees, and vendors.
* Provide recommendations on practice clinical policies and processes to Pharmacy Director
* Support the performance improvement program
* Work collaboratively with the Physicians, Nurses, Business Office, and HR
*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE*
* Min Education: BA/BS/Undergraduate Pharmacy Degree
* Registered Pharmacist in the state of Texas preferred

Pay: From $53.00 per hour
