Key Responsibilities: Lead platform-specific projects for both satellite and ground systems. Design embedded software for Amazon Leo products, ensuring top-notch performance. Collaborate extensively with internal and external teams to drive successful outcomes. Mentor and guide a team of engineers on best practices from requirements gathering through to mass production. Be adaptable to address high-priority issues as they arise. Ideal Candidate:
You have significant experience in networking and consumer devices, particularly within embedded Linux environments, Yocto, and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS). Your expertise includes kernel programming, device drivers, and interface work with peripherals. Proficiency with Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, and I2C interfaces is essential, as is familiarity with ARM systems and FPGA-based components. Understanding of the manufacturing diagnostics process, including phases such as Hardware Validation Testing (HVT) and Device Validation Testing (DVT), is also crucial. Basic Qualifications: At least 5 years of professional software development experience. Proficient in programming with at least one software language for over 5 years. Experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems for at least 5 years. Background in mentoring and leading an engineering team. Hands-on experience with embedded Linux, Yocto, and/or RTOS for over 5 years. Preferred Qualifications: Comprehensive experience in the complete software development life cycle, including coding standards and testing processes.
