Patient Care Tech I – PCT - SICU Full Time – Night Shift – 36 hours
Patient Care Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital provide highly skilled and compassionate patient and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Patient Care Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
The Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU - Zayed 9 East) at Johns Hopkins is an 18-bed unit with a diverse patient population receiving various types of surgeries in this ICU, including, Abdominal Transplant, Cardiac Surgery patients, GI Surgery, Trauma, Vascular Surgery, Ortho/Neuro Spine procedures and General Surgery. The SICU team is composed of a unit based multi-disciplinary team. Registered Nurses (RNs) in the SICU take great pride in providing high quality post-operative surgical care every day! Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required. One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered. BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
