We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional patient care within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, particularly in Assisted Living settings. This role involves overseeing nursing operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement in patient care.
*Responsibilities*
* Manage and supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of care.
* Oversee the documentation review process to maintain accurate patient records and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that align with best practices in healthcare.
* Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient operation of nursing services.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and promote effective communication among staff.
* Utilize medical terminology effectively in training and documentation processes.
* Ensure the delivery of quality care in both acute and hospice settings, addressing the unique needs of patients.
* Monitor performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing services and identify areas for improvement.
*Requirements*
* Registered Nurse (RN) license with a valid state certification.
* Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably as a Director of Nursing or similar position within a nursing home, assisted living or healthcare facility.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and healthcare regulations.
* Exceptional supervisory skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
* Experience in acute care and hospice care settings is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on fostering teamwork.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
