Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serve as a Security Specialist ensuring strict adherence to personnel, physical, industrial, OPSEC, and information security standards as mandated by DoD and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
Execute duties as a Control Officer for assigned ODNI programs, managing the protection of sensitive technology, classified materials, and mission-critical operations.
Facilitate inter-agency operations between Office of the Undersecretary of War for Intelligence and Security, combatant commands, and the IC to coordinate space requirements, equipment acquisition, and Strategy Coordination Programs.
Conduct and review SCI pre-screening interviews, manage eligibility recommendations, and maintain accurate personnel security records within DISS and Scattered Castles.
Oversee daily security operations for command SCIFs, including visitor control, clearance verification, and the monitoring of technical security systems (IDS, ACS, and CCTV).
Conduct formal inquiries into security violations or unauthorized disclosures; provide written assessments and recommended corrective actions to senior leadership.
Administer security briefings, including initial INDOCs, foreign travel debriefs, and the execution of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and personal attestation statements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience in security related field.
Proficient in DoW (DoD) security databases, specifically DISS (Defense Information System for Security), Scattered Castles, and E-QIP.
Comprehensive understanding of standard DoW (DoD) security concepts, practices, and procedures, including physical security standards for protected areas.
Proven experience in verifying clearances, recognizing potential security incidents, and processing System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead security training sessions and brief senior-level principals.
Expert knowledge of PII/CUI handling and the secure transmission of classified data via digital and physical means.
Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Reader for the processing of digitally signed security forms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to manage security document libraries, lists, and automated workflows within a SharePoint environment.
Hands-on experience with DoD Secure File Transfer protocols (e.g., https://safe.apps.mil) and Intelink/IntelShare capabilities.
Experience reviewing and approving Prime and Sub-contractor DD Form 254s (Contract Security Classification Specifications).
Familiarity with the installation or oversight of intrusion detection, sound masking, and access control technologies.
Clearance Requirements:
Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
