As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving success and innovation. Our work depends on a Data Engineer joining our team to support data management efforts that span Commercial, NIPR, and SIPR domains. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the J6 environment, commercial data offerings, and cross-domain solutions such as AWS Diode. You will provide full-stack development expertise in support of a social media program in Tampa, FL. The Data Engineer will design and develop software applications, data models, and databases to support program strategies, individual/team performance, and overall program objectives. This role requires a highly collaborative individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment while completing projects with minimal supervision. How A Data Engineer Will Make An Impact Develops and maintains a commercial data architecture for collecting, processing, and analyzing web and social media-related information. Utilizes open-source technologies in the AWS cloud to support data architecture. Understands IT environments and requirements of NIPR and SIPR systems. Provides technical skills and develops cross-domain solutions. Coordinates with data scientists and program analysts to architect solutions that enable analysts to perform their functions effectively. Designs and develops software applications, data models, and databases using Python and SQL. Develops programming and methods to integrate, transform, migrate, and visualize data to gain insights and identify hidden trends. Routinely uses tools such as Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, and Python to develop charts, graphs, geographic imagery, and dashboards to exhibit patterns and anomalies in data. Leverages Python libraries (e.g., pandas, matplotlib, os, and NumPy) for scripting, application development, data analysis, and data integration. Uses SQL to query relational databases to derive relevant insights and information for data integration, analysis, reporting, and client delivery. Consults with clients on mission-critical infrastructure and its integration with client goals and missions. Creates technical documentation and diagrams using Microsoft Visio and other tools to provide detailed depictions of ERDs, mission-critical infrastructure, applications, data models, and data pipelines. What You'll Need To Succeed Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) and 2+ years of related professional experience required. Additional education, training, certifications, or work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree or work experience. Experience: Demonstrable experience programming in Python and SQL. Knowledge of Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI. Experience with C2IE and NoSQL databases is a plus. Ability to apply advanced analytics capabilities to derive insights from a combination of unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data. Security Clearance Level: Active DoW Secret clearance (minimum) required. TS/SCI eligibility preferred; accepted cleared Secret candidates will be submitted for TS. Skills and Abilities: Strong technical skills in developing cross-domain solutions. Proficiency in designing and developing data models, databases, and software applications. Expertise in data integration, transformation, and visualization. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong communication and documentation skills, including creating technical diagrams and documentation. Location: Customer Site (Tampa, FL).
