About
We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer on behalf of a well-established, globally recognised manufacturing business.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing product development team, supporting the design and development of innovative products from concept through to production. You will play a key role across the full product lifecycle, working on high-quality engineered solutions used in both UK and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
* Produce 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using Solid Edge CAD
* Translate concepts and customer requirements into manufacturable designs
* Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
Engineering & Technical Documentation
* Create manufacturing drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions
* Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities
* Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements
Collaboration
* Work closely with internal teams including product development, operations, and production
* Liaise with suppliers on materials, manufacturing processes, and feasibility
* Support product launches with technical input and documentation
Problem Solving
* Troubleshoot design issues and deliver effective engineering solutions
