Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying incoming merchandise against purchase orders and shipping documents, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory system. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks in a safe and timely manner.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label all incoming merchandise appropriately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding shipments.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform lifting tasks (up to 60 lbs).
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
