About
Join our dedicated team in Baltimore, Maryland, as a Material Handler. This role is crucial for the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout our warehouse, supporting all aspects of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for handling, storing, and transferring materials safely and effectively, ensuring a smooth workflow from receiving to shipping.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Move, stack, and stage materials within the warehouse according to established procedures.
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and inspect for damages.
- Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate record-keeping of material movements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Properly store materials, ensuring correct placement and rotation to prevent damage or loss.
- Support the overall logistics team by ensuring materials are readily available for production and shipping.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is required. Must possess a valid forklift certification or demonstrable experience operating forklifts. Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 60 lbs is necessary. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles is essential. Commitment to workplace safety and proficiency in using required PPE are paramount. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods. Background check and drug screening will be conducted.
