We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to oversee our operations in Jacksonville, Florida. This leadership role is critical to the success of our logistics department, responsible for managing daily warehouse activities, coordinating staff, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. You will be involved in inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of logistics and supply chain operations, and a proven ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to upholding safety standards, including the proper use of PPE, are essential. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Coordinate and schedule the activities of warehouse staff to ensure maximum productivity.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and other departments to resolve operational issues.
- Optimize warehouse layout and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs within the logistics framework.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role within logistics.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and experience with implementing safety programs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
