We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler to join our vibrant warehouse team in Tampa, Florida. This role is crucial for the smooth functioning of our logistics operations, involving the physical movement and organization of materials within the facility. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing items for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, capable of performing repetitive lifting, and possess a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Experience with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment is beneficial. We are committed to a safe working environment and expect all team members to adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments accurately.
- Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe, removing any potential hazards.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support other warehouse functions and team members as needed to ensure efficient logistics flow.
- Perform duties requiring consistent physical exertion, including frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Participate in inventory counts and quality checks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform manual labor and heavy lifting consistently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Willingness to learn and operate various pieces of equipment.
- Excellent work ethic and commitment to task completion.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
