Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Implement and manage stock rotation programs (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out).
  • Monitor stock levels and identify items that require replenishment or are at risk of obsolescence.
  • Assist in receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate data capture.
  • Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to forecast inventory needs.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items to maximize space and accessibility.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Implement and enforce strict safety protocols related to inventory handling and storage.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the inventory control department.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy. Excellent data entry and record-keeping abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to perform tasks that may involve moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds). Familiarity with inventory control techniques and best practices. Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is essential. Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and reliable. Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment. Willingness to learn and apply new technologies and procedures.
Working Conditions:
This position is primarily based in a warehouse environment. You will be expected to wear appropriate PPE at all times, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The work may involve exposure to varying temperatures. Regular lifting and moving of inventory items are part of the daily duties. Emphasis on safety procedures and proper material handling is crucial for preventing accidents and injuries.
