This position is critical for maintaining workflow and preventing delays in production and distribution. We prioritize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE, is essential. The ability to perform heavy lifting is a key requirement for this role, as you will be expected to lift and move items weighing up to 70 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
- Transport materials to and from various points within the facility.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage locations.
- Ensure accurate tracking of material movements.
- Inspect equipment for safety and operational issues.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines.
- Utilize required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock takes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification to operate relevant machinery (e.g., forklift) is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
