About
Our Atlanta, Georgia facility is looking for a reliable and organized Receiving Clerk to manage the inbound flow of goods. The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring that all incoming inventory is accurately received, inspected, and properly recorded in our system. This position is essential for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the broader logistics operations. You will be responsible for unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies, and moving received goods to designated storage areas. A strong understanding of warehouse receiving procedures and inventory management principles is highly valued. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics setting, particularly with receiving processes, is beneficial. Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. You will be required to wear appropriate PPE and follow all Safety procedures. The role involves frequent Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming trucks and trailers efficiently and safely.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Tag and label received items appropriately.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all Safety protocols and use required PPE .
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding deliveries.
