We are seeking an efficient Order Picker for our warehouse located in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately selecting items from inventory, verifying quantities, and preparing orders for shipment. This position is crucial for our logistics chain, requiring a meticulous approach to tasks and a strong dedication to safety. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pull items from warehouse stock according to customer orders.
- Verify the quantity and accuracy of picked items against order documentation.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient order picking.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely dispatch.
- Understand and follow all logistics procedures.
- Participate in lifting and moving of goods as part of the picking process.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend throughout the shift.
- Capability of lifting and moving items up to 45 pounds.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
