About
Seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Technician for our advanced facility in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems, ensuring optimal operational efficiency and Safety. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and conduct safety inspections. This position is critical to our logistics infrastructure, requiring a strong technical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A deep understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a secure and functional environment are essential. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory during all tasks. This role may involve moderate Lifting and requires adherence to strict Safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all warehouse equipment (forklifts, conveyors, palletizers, etc.).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct regular Safety inspections and ensure equipment compliance.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA and company Safety standards.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Operate equipment safely when necessary for testing or repair.
- Follow strict Safety procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or similar maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with a variety of warehouse equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance tools and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety and operational excellence in logistics.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
