We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that every item is accounted for, inspected, and properly documented. Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload deliveries from various carriers.
- Inspect incoming shipments for any damage or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received products appropriately for storage.
- Report any receiving issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring clear pathways and compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Collaborate with inventory and shipping teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role is advantageous.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent bending, standing, and moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
