We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our Houston, Texas **Logistics** team. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, properly documented, and dispatched efficiently. This role is vital for customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our supply chain. We are committed to maintaining a high standard of **Safety** in all warehouse activities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Verify outgoing orders for accuracy against shipping orders.
- Inspect packages for damage before shipment.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of all outgoing goods.
- Operate shipping software and systems to track shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to all **Safety** regulations.
- Properly utilize **PPE** when handling shipments.
- Assist with **Lifting** and moving of shipments as required, following safe practices.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related warehouse/ **Logistics** role is required. Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer skills is necessary. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Must be familiar with **PPE** and adhere to **Safety** guidelines. Understanding of **Lifting** requirements and safe handling procedures. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.
