We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is fundamental to our logistics process, involving the accurate reception, inspection, and processing of incoming shipments. You will be responsible for ensuring that all goods entering our facility are correctly documented and accounted for. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect shipments for any damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system.
- Label and stage received products for put-away or distribution.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics is a plus.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 60 lbs.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
