We are seeking an experienced and certified Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in San Francisco, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your adherence to Safety protocols and operational procedures is paramount. You will play a key role in loading and unloading trucks, managing inventory flow, and ensuring timely movement of goods throughout the facility. We are committed to a safe work environment and require all operators to strictly follow Safety guidelines, utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and conduct thorough pre-operation inspections. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a minimum of 2 years of operating experience, and a solid understanding of warehouse Safety standards. Experience with various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up) and a strong grasp of logistics operations are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stock, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers accurately and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain organized and clean work areas, ensuring clear traffic lanes.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and verify stock locations.
- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Report any damage to merchandise or equipment.
- Participate in ongoing training for Safety and operational improvements.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA-compliant).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform occasional moderate Lifting, typically up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to Safety and attention to detail.
