Are you a certified Forklift Operator looking for a stable and rewarding opportunity in Omaha, Nebraska? We are seeking experienced individuals to operate forklifts and other machinery to move materials within our busy warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and safety of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, transporting inventory, and ensuring that all movements comply with safety regulations. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to safety are key.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and organize materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, or shipping areas.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Verify quantities and product identification against shipping documents.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, free of obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Follow warehouse logistics and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Physical ability to perform tasks associated with forklift operation, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and logistics best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a responsible attitude.
