Responsibilities:
- Execute regular cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventories.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure the accurate recording of all inventory movements, including receipts, put-aways, and shipments.
- Manage stock rotation principles (e.g., FIFO) to minimize spoilage and obsolescence.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify potential shortages or overages, and report findings.
- Collaborate with operations and shipping/receiving teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Conduct audits of inventory locations and product conditions.
- Champion warehouse safety, ensuring compliance with PPE requirements and safe lifting practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Demonstrable experience in inventory control, stockroom management, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and inventory tracking technologies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Solid understanding of inventory control methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with general logistics and supply chain processes.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks as needed, including occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Awareness and adherence to workplace safety standards, including the use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
