Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our inventory in Columbus, Ohio. This role is critical to ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, discrepancy investigation, stocktaking, and maintaining optimal stock levels. Your expertise will directly impact our logistics performance and profitability. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset and a proven track record in inventory management. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential losses.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Manage stock rotation and ensure product freshness or shelf-life compliance.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and assist with put-away and retrieval of stock when necessary.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate receiving and shipping records.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Prepare inventory reports for management review.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the inventory management function.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform lifting up to 40 pounds as needed.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety standards.
