About
We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our fast-paced fulfillment center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will work with a handheld scanner or other technology to identify and locate items, ensuring that the correct products and quantities are picked. This is a physically demanding position that involves significant walking, standing, and Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanner instructions.
- Ensure the correct items and quantities are picked for each order.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Stage completed orders for quality control and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Follow all warehouse Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) correctly.
- Perform tasks involving frequent Lifting and movement of items.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the order fulfillment process within the logistics chain.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in fulfilling orders.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Commitment to following all Safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Experience with handheld scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Willingness to wear and utilize appropriate PPE.
