Join our growing logistics operation in Austin, Texas, as an Order Picker! This role is fundamental to our success, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications, verifying quantities, and preparing items for packing and shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. You will work within a fast-paced warehouse setting, often using technology like RF scanners to guide your picking process. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs, standing, and walking for extended periods throughout your shift. Safety is our highest priority, so strict adherence to all company safety protocols and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory. You will collaborate with other warehouse associates to meet daily picking targets and contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using picking lists or electronic devices.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through diligent picking and reporting any discrepancies.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and carts.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and walking.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics concepts.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and labels.
- Experience with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Team-oriented and able to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
