We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our busy warehouse in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring smooth logistics operations, and minimizing discrepancies. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular inventory counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing inventory control procedures. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure efficient stock rotation and organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Experience with inventory management software is highly desirable. This position requires a commitment to accuracy and efficiency within the logistics framework. While not primarily a physically demanding role, some lifting of up to 30 lbs may be required. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy.
- Identify and tag damaged or expired inventory.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accuracy.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to improve inventory processes.
- Ensure the safe handling and storage of all inventory items.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory best practices.
- Ability to perform some light lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Commitment to workplace safety and use of PPE as needed.
- Strong communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
