Exciting opportunity for a Reach Truck Operator in Seattle, Washington! We are seeking experienced operators to efficiently manage inventory within our large-scale logistics facility. Your primary responsibility will be operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve products in high-level racking systems. This role requires precision, a strong understanding of warehouse safety, and the ability to maintain high productivity. You will play a critical role in inventory management and order fulfillment, ensuring goods are stored and accessed correctly. A commitment to safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to operating procedures, is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to move and store materials at various heights.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Accurately place products in designated racking locations.
- Retrieve products from racking for order fulfillment.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
- Support the overall logistics team in achieving operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck is required.
- Valid certification or proven proficiency in reach truck operation.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent spatial awareness and precision.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to stand and maneuver in the operator's cab for extended periods.
