We have an exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer to join our established team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is critical to our ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers by ensuring their orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving items from our warehouse stock and preparing them for shipment, directly impacting our logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from various locations within the warehouse using order lists and scanning technology.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details to minimize errors.
- Pack products securely and professionally, selecting the right packaging to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information and tracking numbers.
- Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels by reporting discrepancies or stock issues.
- Keep packing stations organized and well-supplied with necessary materials.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the outbound logistics process by moving completed orders to the shipping dock.
- Undertake other warehouse duties as assigned to support the team's overall productivity.
Previous experience in picking and packing or a related warehouse role is preferred. Candidates must be capable of frequent lifting up to 30 lbs. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is mandatory. Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven logistics environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods is required. A strong commitment to safety is paramount. All applicants will undergo a background check and drug screening.
