Join our vibrant team in Houston, Texas, as a Picker/Packer! This role is fundamental to fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for locating items within our warehouse, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring that each order meets our high standards. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, precise, and dedicated to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. As a Picker/Packer, you play a direct role in customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and correct order dispatch. We prioritize safety and expect all team members to be diligent in following established protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves significant Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets or scanner prompts.
- Inspect picked items for defects or damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate shipping materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear required PPE at all times in designated areas.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order pick lists and product codes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capacity for Lifting packages up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Team-oriented and able to work effectively with others.
- Basic understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
