We are hiring an Order Picker for our facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, requiring a keen eye for detail, speed, and accuracy. You will work with pick lists or scanners to locate and retrieve products, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are selected. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is paramount, and you must adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE. The ideal candidate is reliable, motivated, and capable of performing tasks that involve frequent lifting and being on their feet for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Read pick lists or use a scanner to accurately locate and retrieve ordered items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items in the designated area for packing and shipping.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from obstructions.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Report any damaged goods or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment like pallet jacks.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
