About
We are looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our Atlanta, Georgia logistics hub. This position is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counting, stock reconciliation, discrepancy investigation, and implementing best practices to minimize loss and optimize stock levels. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Your role will directly impact our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a robust cycle counting program.
- Perform regular physical inventories and reconcile stock levels with the WMS.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO), and storage conditions.
- Generate detailed inventory reports for management review.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and warehouse operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and proper usage of PPE.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management.
- Assist with receiving and shipping tasks as needed, including lifting and moving inventory.
- Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in a large warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of best practices in inventory management and logistics.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
