Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler for our fast-paced San Francisco, California logistics center. This critical role ensures the smooth and safe movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining an organized inventory system. A strong focus on safety, including the proper use of PPE, is a core requirement of this position. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and a commitment to operational excellence. Your work directly supports our supply chain effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery safely and proficiently.
  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments, checking for accuracy and damage.
  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
  • Store materials in designated warehouse locations, maintaining an organized system.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company policies.
  • Properly use all required PPE.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Support other warehouse operations as needed to ensure efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Material Handler.
  • Valid forklift certification is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 75 lbs, regularly.
  • Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and best practices.
  • Understanding of logistics and inventory control systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina.
