Join our team as a skilled Forklift Operator in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, a strong commitment to Safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately locating and staging items.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and pathways are clear.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including order picking and packing.
- Ensure all Lifting and moving of heavy items is done in accordance with Safety guidelines.
- Understand and contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics process.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification or license. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. A proactive approach to Safety and team collaboration.
