You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and assisting with warehouse organization. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and keen attention to detail are essential. This position may involve some physical tasks, including occasional lifting and moving of inventory. Upholding rigorous safety standards and utilizing appropriate PPE is a requirement for this role. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report potential shortages or overages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Maintain accurate records within the inventory management system.
- Organize warehouse stock and optimize storage space.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and use of PPE .
- Support other departments with inventory-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and best practices.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE .
