Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Houston, Texas. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to safety standards. You will manage a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve departmental goals. This role is pivotal in our logistics network, requiring strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management. Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and optimizing all warehouse activities, from receiving to shipping. We are looking for an individual who can drive continuous improvement and foster a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling and performance management.
  • Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of products.
  • Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures, ensuring compliance with all OSHA guidelines.
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
  • Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
  • Monitor workflow and productivity, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Ensure all necessary PPE is available and utilized correctly.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS).
  • Ability to develop and implement effective operational procedures.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and the importance of proper lifting techniques and PPE.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team and drive performance.
