Seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art logistics center in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods throughout our facility. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment using various warehouse equipment. Key duties include operating forklifts, loading/unloading vehicles, transferring inventory to and from storage, and assisting with inventory accuracy. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety. You will be an integral part of our logistics team, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and effectively. Maintaining a safe and organized workspace is a top priority. We are committed to your professional growth and provide ongoing training in equipment operation and safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery.
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents.
- Transport materials between different warehouse zones.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Support order picking and packing operations when required.
- Assist with inventory management tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler is highly desirable.
- Forklift certification is a must.
- Proficiency in operating industrial warehouse equipment.
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including lifting.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety and logistics principles.
- Capacity to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Mandatory use of provided PPE.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 55 lbs.
