Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through regular audits, cycle counts, and system reconciliation. You will work closely with warehouse operations to identify and resolve discrepancies, implement process improvements, and ensure optimal stock levels. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a commitment to maintaining a highly organized and efficient inventory. You will play a key part in optimizing our supply chain operations and ensuring that our customers receive accurate and timely orders. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on aging or obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to minimize damage.
  • Train other team members on inventory procedures as needed.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management.
  • Must be comfortable with manual lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in WMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
