Job Summary:
Our Richmond, Virginia distribution center is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming goods. Your duties will include verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring that all received items are processed promptly and correctly. This position is key to our inventory accuracy and overall Logistics efficiency. We are dedicated to a safe work environment and provide all necessary PPE .
Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming freight, verifying quantities and product details against shipping documents and purchase orders.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage, reporting any issues immediately.
  • Accurately document all received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Tag and label inventory according to company procedures.
  • Stage incoming goods for put-away by other warehouse personnel.
  • Assist with inventory control tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  • Follow all Safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE .
  • Support the overall flow of warehouse Logistics by ensuring timely processing of incoming goods.
  • Assist with any tasks involving Lifting of goods during the receiving process.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency, especially with WMS software.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Understanding of inventory control principles.
  • Commitment to upholding Safety standards and using appropriate PPE .
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain processes is beneficial.
