About
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. The Material Handler will be responsible for a variety of physical tasks to ensure the efficient flow of materials throughout the warehouse. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting overall warehouse operations. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all materials are moved, organized, and prepared for distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading of materials from trucks and trailers.
- Moving materials to and from production and storage areas using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts (certification may be required).
- Assisting in inventory control by ensuring accurate counts and proper placement of goods.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operating manual and powered material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure proper working order.
- Following all safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and **Lifting** up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding and following verbal and written instructions related to **Logistics** and warehouse procedures.
Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to **Safety** are essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime. Understanding of **PPE** requirements and adherence to **Lifting** guidelines.
