About
We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our Cincinnati, Ohio distribution center. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all outgoing shipments. This includes preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, labeling packages, and ensuring that all orders are dispatched correctly and on time. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of shipping procedures within a logistics environment. You will play a key role in our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare bills of lading, shipping orders, and other documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Verify information on shipping orders against products being shipped.
- Enter shipping information into our logistics and tracking systems.
- Package products securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Communicate with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments processed.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards and use appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a plus.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software, order entry systems, and basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve occasional lifting of up to 30-40 pounds.
