Join our vibrant warehouse team in Sacramento, California as an Order Picker! Your role will be central to ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. You'll be tasked with efficiently locating, retrieving, and preparing items from our inventory for shipment. Utilizing handheld scanners and following pick lists, you will navigate our warehouse to gather the correct products. Accuracy and speed are key in this position, as you directly impact customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics operations. We emphasize a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. This role requires individuals who are physically capable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a dynamic setting. You'll be an integral part of a team dedicated to operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using electronic pick lists and scanners.
- Locate and retrieve items from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify product accuracy and quantities before moving to the packing station.
- Prepare items for packing, ensuring they are ready for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking speed and accuracy.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as stocking or replenishment.
- Report any order discrepancies, damages, or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth order flow and efficient logistics.
- Perform occasional moderate Lifting tasks as required to retrieve items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capability of Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with basic logistics concepts is a plus.
