About
Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator? Our Columbus, Ohio facility is seeking a skilled professional to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to support our warehouse operations. This position is critical for the efficient movement of goods, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval of inventory. You will be responsible for safely navigating the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with put-away and picking tasks. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trucks and onto racks.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with order picking and put-away tasks as required.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow traffic rules and safety procedures within the warehouse.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervision immediately.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to read and understand shipping/receiving documents and labels.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and proper lifting techniques.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
