Maintenance Technician

About
The maintenance tech is primarily responsible for maintaining their property to look its very best at all times. They are to complete all work orders in a timely manner and with true quality. They are responsible for all apartment "turns" and "punches" to the property manager's approval.
Job Responsibilities:
* General maintenance tickets including but not limited to: appliance repairs, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, hardware replacements, etc.
* Monitor parts inventory stock & submit weekly orders to supervisor.
* Turn units within established company guidelines - maintenance is not responsible for flooring replacement, painting, or deep cleaning vacant units.
* Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, residents, and vendors.
* Ability to accurately and efficiently diagnose issues and determine the best course of action whether that is to repair or replace.
Qualifications:
* Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC, and electrical systems
* Prior experience in maintenance, preferably in an apartment setting
* Experience using property management software system to update and close work orders is a plus
* Ability to provide excellent customer service and demonstrate leadership skills
* Reliable transportation and set of tools
* Ability to participate in after hours emergency on call rotation
* Physical requirement of stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
