About

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills • Hands-on experience in Cyber Security Engineer • Bachelors degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • Security engineers are responsible for the upkeep and testing of software security systems. These professionals run batteries of tests on the technology and identify any potential threats by flagging the incident. The engineer then issues recommendations to the company to repair the vulnerability. • Strong understanding of network security, operating systems, and cloud security concepts • Experience with security monitoring and incident response • Knowledge of encryption, authentication, access control, and secure architecture • Familiarity with vulnerability management and threat modeling • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Monitor networks, systems, and applications for security threats and suspicious activity • Identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents and breaches • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing • Implement and maintain security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection • Develop, enforce, and update information security policies, standards, and procedures • Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies • Investigate security alerts and prepare incident reports • Collaborate with IT, development, and business teams to integrate security best practices Roles & Responsibilities • Security engineers are responsible for the upkeep and testing of software security systems. Salary Range $140,000-$150,000 years
