This is a key leadership role, responsible for maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, presentation, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency throughout all bedrooms and public areas.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the Accommodation Department, including scheduling and coordination of cleaning for all guest bedrooms, houses, and public areas.
Plan, organise, and direct the accommodation team to consistently meet and exceed guest expectations.
Conduct daily inspections of bedrooms/houses and public areas to ensure 4-Star Deluxe standards are maintained.
Ensure supervisory staff carry out required checks, workarounds, and inspections in the Accommodation Manager's absence.
Train, coach, and support all new accommodation team members to the required standard.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and professional conduct at all times.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet daily and anticipated business demands.
Communicate daily business requirements to team members and ensure strong product knowledge across hotel services and facilities.
Monitor team performance and provide ongoing support to maintain service excellence.
Assist the Accommodation team when required and respond promptly to guest requests.
Ensure all relevant information is accurately recorded in the department logbook daily.
Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Accurately complete payroll documentation and forecasts within required deadlines.
Prepare and distribute daily assignment sheets and manage task prioritisation.
Check vacant rooms, verify room status, and update discrepancies during each shift.
Liaise closely with all departments to ensure smooth hotel operations.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Manage accommodation supplies, purchasing, re-ordering, stock control, and weekly stock takes.
Monitor and manage the housekeeping budget effectively.
Requirements Minimum 2 years' management experience (required).
Previous hotel experience (required). xcfaprz
Ability to reliably commute to Boyle, County Roscommon or relocate prior to starting (required).
