About
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in the geriatric population.. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the communication skills and overall quality of life for your patients.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities of patients.
* Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.
* Implement effective speech therapy techniques to improve articulation, fluency, voice quality, and language comprehension.
* Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and educational goals.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
* Provide guidance and support to families regarding communication strategies and home exercises.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech pathology.
* Proficiency in anatomy and physiology relevant to speech and language functions.
* Experience working with pediatric populations in school or clinical settings.
* Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children with communication disorders.
* Excellent patient assessment skills to identify individual needs effectively.
* Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
* Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $49.00 - $65.00 per hour
