We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our growing team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring all inventory movements are properly documented. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong analytical skills. This position plays a vital part in our logistics and supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Receive, verify, and process incoming inventory shipments.
- Track stock movements and ensure proper placement of goods.
- Generate inventory reports as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or overages.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with the organization and layout of warehouse storage areas.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software or WMS.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse and logistics processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
