We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is crucial for the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will navigate the warehouse to retrieve specific items based on order requests, ensuring precision and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to assigned orders, using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse Safety.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed daily picking quotas and quality standards.
- Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or issues encountered during the picking process to a supervisor.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment and logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including walking, standing for extended periods, and Lifting items up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Must be willing to wear required PPE.
