Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for manufacturing equipment and processes. Integrate embedded systems with existing factory automation, PLCs, robotics, and SCADA systems. Develop and implement real-time control algorithms for precision manufacturing operations. Troubleshoot and debug embedded systems on the production floor, ensuring minimal downtime. Optimize existing embedded solutions for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in a manufacturing environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, production) to define system requirements. Develop robust communication protocols for data acquisition and control in industrial settings. Recommended Qualifications
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development. Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and their peripherals. Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot hardware, and utilize debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer). Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT) and sensor integration. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level driver development. Bonus Qualifications
Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET). Familiarity with PLC programming or SCADA systems. Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for test automation or data analysis. Experience with advanced hardware debugging tools (e.g., logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers).
